As a contemporary waterside apartment, this location is slightly unusual for the placement of a mantelpiece and fire, usually more suited to a traditional setting. This called for an uncomplicated design of mantel that was not overpowering to the space, complimented the already constructed display unit, and incorporated a light granite that suited the client's colour scheme.
The final piece is a painted wood mantel, colour matched to the existing display unit, with an angular construction to also compliment the previous work. The client visited our manufacturing facility to view our collection of granites and finally chose this Golden Glory which was a perfect match for their gold colour scheme. The electric fire enables the client to experience the feel of a gas fire with its trueflame effect, without the need for a flue system.
