Over the past 80 years J. Rotherham has developed into one of the leading manufacturers of marble, granite and stone products in the UK.

A fourth generation family run company with our origins way back at the turn of the last century, when Henry Rotherham worked as a jobbing stone mason on the cathedrals and church’s of South Yorkshire. Henry trained up his son, Joe senior, in the art of stone carving and after a break from masoning to serve in the Second World War, Joe Rotherham Senior set up the company as it stands today.

When his son Joe Junior started working for the company in 1973 the father and son team were not sure if the business could support two families over the winter, but 34 years later on, it was a gamble that has truly paid off. J. Rotherham Masonry is now one of the most respected companies in the industry, with the ability to provide the most intricate inlaid marble work combined with turn out over 150 worktops per week in the technology with the infrastructure to addition to fireplaces, commercial projects and monumental and architectural masonry work.
